Keeping track of calories? I know that’s the most boring thing in dieting. I’m doing everything to avoid it. Even though I’ve found it pretty helpful during my weight loss.
When I first started P90X, I was 50 pounds overweight. So, one of my goals was to get rid of the excess weight. While following the workout regimen and the nutrition guide I kept track of the P90X calories burned. And it helped me A LOT. It helped me balance my intake and the spent calories at a level to ensure losing weight.
I followed the P90X Fitness Guide, that says:
“Gauge the intensity level and calorie burn from your workout with reliable and easy-to-use heart rate monitor. A must for all those taking their fitness regimen to the next level.”
So, no matter your workout goal (losing weight, getting ripped) in order to track your fitness and health improvement you need to keep track of your heart-rate. It can show you the calories burned and let you know how you are progressing in your weight loss and muscle building.
